It has been a bit of a topsy turvy month! Most of you have been off on holiday or taking the chance to take the kids out for the day. We have to do things differently, had to move off the boat so it can have a refit, which is exciting and scary! Not only did we have to move off but so did the dog and 2 cats, also all our stuff as the floor was going to be replaced. A very nice neighbour is keeping our belongings in their summer house and another neighbour has loaned us her very large boat, (think boutique hotel style) while she is on holiday. She is due back in a couple of days so we move to my mums house for a few weeks.
All this has meant that all the fabric that I had squirrelled away (& forgotten about) has seen the light of day. Good in that I have re found treasures but it also means that OH has noticed how much fabric I have, must make a load of it up before I can buy more. This fabric addiction must be fed! So I am making lots of different types of bag, they are being sold in a little local craft shop at Lock 42 on the Grand Union Canal, I might also take a stall at monthly craft market in Chesham, (told you there is a lot of fabric).
You will learn the basics of using a sewing machine;- how to thread a machine, wind a bobbin, select different stitches, sew simple seams. You’ll make samples during the course to take home with you to remind you of what you have learnt. This workshop will give you the confidence to set up your sewing machine at home and start stitching. Bring your own sewing machine and manual (if you don’t have the manual download it from the internet and print it off) also a notebook and pen. Join our sell-out workshops bit.ly/1gO6ZYJ
