Frosty morning on the cut!

Frosty morning on the cut!

Hope you had a great Christmas & New Year, are you raring to get on with your sewing? I know I am, lots of ideas for groups and classes! Hoping to set up 2 new groups in the near future and to get my online classes going, where there will be 2 new videos each month of things to make and webinars so you can ask questions about your sewing.

Let me know what you would like to make/upcycle/refashion/alter/mend & I will do a video. This is something I am really excited about!

Winter on the cut!

We have had some amazing frosts on the canal and it has even iced over for a couple of days, which made the coal boat a couple of days late, luckily we still had 1 bag of coal left. The boat has been warm and snug as the stove heats 2 radiators and a towel rail, this is our 3rd winter aboard. I even use the top of the stove for cooking stews, start them off on the gas then transfer the cast iron pot to the stove for about 3 hours, wonderful. Some people manage to cook jacket potatoes in the ash tray of the stove, but think they must have a deeper tray than us as the potatoes won’t fit!

DIY Fashion/Easy Alterations

DIY Fashion, craft and customise your wardrobe. Learn to alter clothes to fit you! Bring along a couple of garments that you would like to alter/mend. Too long, baggy, shape doesn’t flatter you or just bored with how something looks! We will update it, mend, refashion and give it a new lease of life.
It would help if you can already use a sewing machine, but if not you can learn that as well! http://bit.ly/1gO6ZYJ
